The Ratio Six Coffee Maker Review

Hello, and thank you for joining me in the Ratio Six Coffee Maker Review. A drip machine that does well in mimicking the pour-over technique with just a soft push of a button.

The Ratio Six Coffee Maker is designed with simplicity and is controlled by a single button. The brew cycle includes an already programmed bloom cycle. Meeting the Gold Cup Standard, this coffee maker brews a 40 oz—pot of coffee within six minutes and at optimal brewing temperature.

There are some complications with this coffee maker. The brew basket sits directly on top of the carafe. Some users have found it to be tricky when it comes to inserting the carafe/coffee filter into the machine to brew. Something else to think about is that because of this design, you will have to deal with the wet coffee grounds before pouring your first cup.

Speaking of wet coffee grounds, the showerhead for this coffee maker is much broader than most of the competing coffee makers, creating evenly saturated coffee grounds and proper bloom.

The machine and the reservoir lid are made of stainless steel. The reservoir is BPA-free plastic with glass tubes for the hot water to travel to the coffee grounds. The carafe is insulated with steel on the inside with a plastic and metal outer shell and black plastic parts.

A sticky point with the machine is the needed additional parts that come with the device. On top of the coffee filter is the heat retention collar, used to keep up the heating levels during the brew cycle. A plastic drip tray is also used to hold the brew basket when the brewing is complete. A lid is attached to the carafe to maintain the coffee’s temperature for hours.

Who Is The Ratio Six Coffee Maker Best For?

The Ratio Six Coffee is a batch coffee maker intended to brew for more than one to two people.   If you live in a household with more than one person wanting great-tasting hot coffee, then the Ratio Six Coffee Maker is a good option.

Final Verdict

The Ratio Six Coffee Maker has an attractive aesthetic design that looks nice on any kitchen countertop, regardless of size. Some parts of the machine have been thought through quite significantly, with attention to the reservoir and glass water tube, the shower head, and the insulated carafe. The stacking is tricky with the heat retention collar on the brew basket and the carafe itself. There are two different methods of inserting this stack into the machine to brew, but both require tilting and practice. It is on the pricey side, and if all that I mentioned doesn’t outweigh all of the great features of the Ratio Six Coffee Maker, then I say go for it!
